I thought I would try a new variation on my normal smoothie this morning. To make I blended together 3/4 cup frozen strawberries, 2 large tbs natural yoghurt, 1/4 cup coconut cream, 1/4 cup cold water and 1 scoop strawberry vegan protein powder. I then topped with fresh strawberries, almonds and coconut. Strawberries are a great source of vitamin C, which boosts immunity and also acts as a powerful antioxidant. These antioxidant properties may aid in eye health, protecting against the suns harsh rays. There is also evidence that the high vitamin C content in strawberries may help in cancer prevention and boosting production of collagen, which aids in delaying the formation of wrinkles.
