As you can see by my recent posts I have been going a bit crazy experimenting with different vegan chocolates and although for the base of these blocks I used the same recipe as my raw + vegan jaffa chocolates I thought they were a good source of inspiration for different ways to spice up and create different flavour combinations. They also make the perfect gifts and are quite inexpensive to make (as well as super quick and easy). The flavours pictured above (from left to right) are as follows:
- Roasted almonds - simply drop some onto the chocolate after you have poured it into the mould. The almond and orange flavour is a classic but I would definitely recommend using roasted almonds as opposed to raw
- Goji berries, bee pollen and chia seeds - This is a superfood jumble! It also looks amazing when you bite into it because there is the bright yellow of the bee pollen, vibrant red of the goji berries and a bit of a crunch from the chia seeds
- Rose petal and chopped pistachios - Just so so pretty! I used dried rose petals from some T2 rose tea I had at home. If you don't have these it would also be amazing with some dried cranberries.
This chocolate is packed with nourishing, antioxidant-filled ingredients and has an amazing chocolate/fudgy texture. I honestly think it so so much better than dark chocolate bought from a store and is free from harmful fructose and other nasties. It also makes a super thoughtful gift and you can experiment with unlimited variations!
