This Christmas we got a juicer and I'm so excited to get experimenting with different flavours. I whipped up this juice this morning before breakfast and it was a super refreshing way to start the day, as well as being packed full of nutrients. To make I used 2 carrots, 2 apples and 1 lemon. I love the flavour that the lemon gives... it cuts through some of the sweetness and is really delicious. Fresh lemon juice is a great way to start the day. It boosts the immune system as it is full of vitamin C. Also, the juice has a similar chemical structure to the stomach's digestive juices as hence may aid digestion. Amongst many other benefits, lemon juice is a great alkalising food, aiding in regulating body pH.
